Ready Dermatology operates by appointment only and is not available for walk-ins. Clinic days vary - please book online or call us to arrange an appointment.
Your appointment

We understand plans can change. As our dermatologist is in high demand, we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. To cancel, simply reply to our SMS. To reschedule, please call reception directly.
We send SMS confirmation requests before your appointment. If confirmation is not received within 24 hours of your appointment, your spot may be released.
A $150 fee applies for late cancellations, no-shows, or where confirmation is not received, and must be settled before rebooking.

Appointments at Ready Dermatology can be booked online or by contacting the practice directly. If your GP sends us a referral, our team will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Please bring the following to your appointment:
A GP referral, if you have one (required for Medicare rebates)
A list of your current medications
Relevant test results, imaging, or medical reports
Your Medicare card and photo ID

Consultation time is limited. If you have multiple or complex concerns, you may be asked to prioritise the most important issue or book a follow-up or longer appointment.

Late arrival may result in a shortened consultation, rescheduling, or forfeiture of the appointment, with fees still applying. Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time.
Fees and billing

We are a private billing practice. Fees are payable at the time of consultation by EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, and Alipay. An initial consultation fee will be quoted when you book your appointment.
Aged Pension cardholders may be eligible for a discount, subject to your treating dermatologist's discretion.
Procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, or removal of a skin cancer or mole will incur additional charges. All fees are subject to change depending on the complexity of treatment or at the dermatologist's discretion. You are welcome to ask for a financial estimate before any procedure is performed.
A Medicare claim will be lodged electronically after payment. Medicare will then deposit the rebate to the bank account you have previously provided to them.

Private health insurance does not cover outpatient dermatology consultations. For procedures performed in rooms, Medicare may provide a partial rebate if you have a valid referral. Private health insurance generally does not apply to in-rooms procedures. -

You are welcome to ask for a financial estimate detailing the cost of any procedure or treatment before it is performed. This will be provided as part of informed financial consent.

No. Ready Dermatology does not accept WorkCover or TAC cases.
Frequently asked questions

A referral is not required. However, without a valid GP referral, Medicare rebates cannot be claimed and the full consultation fee will apply. A referral is encouraged, as it allows correspondence back to your GP and supports collaborative care.

Some procedures may be performed on the same day where clinically appropriate and time allows. In other cases, a separate appointment may be required to ensure sufficient time is allocated.

Yes. Some patients attending Ready Dermatology do not have private health insurance, and this does not affect access to care.

Telehealth appointments may be available in selected circumstances, at the discretion of the dermatologist.

Informed financial consent means you will be provided with clear information about fees and expected out-of-pocket costs before treatment, allowing you to make an informed decision

A $50 fee applies to replace a lost prescription.

Repeat prescriptions are not issued on request alone. Your health and safety are our priority, A clinical review is required to confirm that any prescription remains suitable for your current circumstances before it can be reissued.
